An announcement made on Jan. 22nd by the U.S. President declared the U.S. will enact a 30% tariff on solar imports to the United States. Concerned citizens and companies naturally want to know "Will this affect me?"

Aztech Energy, maker of SunCatcher solar heating spa covers, will not be significantly impacted by the tariff. Our unique solar heating design is based on plastic solar collectors and radiant heat transfer. Neither of these design elements are subject to the tariff. That said, SunCatcher does use a small amount of solar PV to transfer heated air from the top to the underside of the cover. Since only a small amount of PV is used, it will not impact SunCatcher's pricing.
