Manufacturer Warranty

Modern Spa Covers (MSC) Warranty


This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, whether expressed or implied, hereby limited to the scope and duration as outlined below. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the spa cover; purchaser must provide the original sales invoice which must have been paid in full. Repairs or alterations made to spa cover by anyone other than authorized personnel hereby invalidates this warranty or any other warranty whether expressed or implied. In some cases it may be required to ship parts to MSC for validation of a claim.



All electronic electrical components are hereby warranted with regard to the quality of materials and workmanship for one year from the time of purchase. For claims deemed valid by MSC, MSC will, at our option, either repair the Product, or send replacement parts within 30 days. Warranty does not cover improper use or any of the following:

  • Immersion of cover in water.

  • Lightning damage or other Acts of God.

  • Improper installation.



The external fabric skin is hereby warranted with regard to the fabric becoming unserviceable because of loss of color or strength from normal usage and exposure conditions, including sunlight, mildew and atmospheric chemicals. Consumer is responsible for normal care and cleaning of the fabric per maintenance procedures provided by MSC. The warranty covers fabric only. For claims deemed valid by MSC, MSC will send replacement skin within 30 days, which will be the responsibility of the owner or dealer to install. Warranty does not cover improper use or any of the following:

  • Excessive chlorination of water or splashing of chemicals on spa cover

  • Chafing or wearing holes in spa cover by dragging over rough surfaces or storing against sharp objects.

  • Damage caused by excessive scrubbing, improper cleaning chemicals, or damage caused by carrying or moving spa cover by the skirt.

  • Structural damage due to excessive weight being placed on spa cover.

  • Torn handles caused by improper use –handles are to be used as a means to open cover and to fasten cover down to spa only—not for use in carrying spa cover



Five (5) year limited warranty on all spa covers with regard excessive weight gain due to water saturation. If MSC has determined that a spa cover has gained more than 25 percent of its original weight due to water saturation of the core insulation of the cover, MSC will send a replacement(s) for the core or cores that have become saturated. Warranty does not cover improper use or any of the following:

  • Immersion of the cover in water

  • Punctures of the cover due to sharp objects

  • Chafing or wearing holes in spa cover by dragging over rough surfaces or storing against sharp objects.



MSC will, at its option, repair or replace components that are damaged in shipping.  Complete replacement is often not feasible due to the cost of the replacement and the risk of damage in the second shipment.  All repairs, if performed using approved MSC materials and procedures, will not adversely affect any other terms of this warranty.  Photo documentation of damage and repairs are required. Repairs may require :

  • Sending the fabric skin back to MSC for repair. 

  • Installation of repair kits and approved patches to underside materials.

  • Other procedures as directed by MSC
